In 2026 data sovereignty moved from a compliance checkbox to a hard requirement. More countries now insist that certain data — citizens' records, financial and health information, government workloads — be stored and processed inside their borders, and the rise of AI has sharpened the point: regulated industries increasingly want their models and inference running in-country, not in someone else's cloud region on another continent. "Sovereign edge" and "sovereign AI" went from conference slides to procurement rules.

For anyone running sensitive or latency-critical workloads, the shared public cloud is no longer a default answer. The question is specific: can this data physically sit, and this computation physically run, in the country the law or the customer requires?

## Where shared cloud runs out

Telecom platforms, latency-sensitive applications, AI inference on private data, and anything a regulator expects to stay in-country all ask for the same thing: dedicated hardware, in a known location, operated by people who answer. A multi-tenant region in a far-off geography cannot promise any of that.

## What US Matrix Dedicated Hosting gives you

Bare-metal servers in the country you choose, across 30+ countries on five continents — deployed, connected and monitored by our team. The hardware is yours alone, its location is known and documented, and the data stays where the rule says it must.

> Sovereignty is not a setting in a console. It is hardware, in a country, that you can point to.

Because it runs on the same global footprint as our colocation and network, placing a workload in a new jurisdiction is a deployment, not a new supplier.

## Meet the rule before it is enforced on you

Residency requirements rarely arrive with a long grace period. See how US Matrix Dedicated Hosting works: [usmatrix.com/hosting](https://usmatrix.com/hosting), or talk to our team: [usmatrix.com/contact](https://usmatrix.com/contact).
